The Arctic Resource Center provides classes and activities for teenagers (age 16 and over) and adults who experience developmental disabilities. The Center helps participants gain life skills and self-esteem while providing a place to socialize and develop leisure and artistic pursuits, as well as a base from which to explore and have fun in the community.
At the Arctic Resource Center, you’ll find:
- Sports and fitness classes
- Art classes
- Crafts and hobbies
- Community activities at local libraries, shopping centers, gyms, coffee houses, etc.
- Life skills classes like cooking, civics, social skills, self care, and more
- Outings to the theater and other cultural events
The Center’s facilities include a baseball diamond, gym, kitchen, multi-purpose rooms, classrooms, and socializations areas. Facilities are wheelchair accessible and close to bike trails and bus routes.
